		<description>&lt;p&gt;Not a lot of people seem to know this but yum is very fast if you change the metadata expiry time out to a higher value and run yum makecache once.  apt and synaptic is available in the Fedora repository as well.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;yum install apt synaptic&lt;/p&gt;
